CRT Selected as Preferred Bidder by the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago for Its Suptech Solution
Dragan Oremus · 1 Sept 2026

The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago has evaluated the submissions to its Request for Proposal for a Suptech Solution for Financial Regulation, Supervision & Oversight (Ref. CB-SSP-028/2026) and has selected CRT as the preferred bidder. The award of the contract is subject to the successful negotiation of terms and conditions with the Central Bank and the execution of a contract between the parties.
A first Caribbean central bank
Headquartered at Eric Williams Plaza in Port of Spain, the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago is the monetary authority of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the supervisor of its banks, non-bank financial institutions, insurers and pension plans. With this selection, the Central Bank becomes the first Caribbean institution — and the first central bank in the Americas — to choose CRT as its supervisory technology partner, extending the CORA footprint to a fourth continent.
About the Suptech Solution
The Central Bank's programme sets out a single suptech platform for financial regulation, supervision and oversight — bringing the collection of supervisory data, its validation and analysis, and the supervisory workflows built on it together in one system. The disciplines that underpin the CORA AI Suptech Platform anchor CRT's proposal:
- Standardized, template-driven data collection from supervised entities, with validation at the point of intake
- Automated supervisory workflows with an auditable trail from submission to decision
- Analytics and reporting that give supervisors a consolidated, timely view of the institutions they oversee
- Glass Box AI — every model output explainable, traceable and reviewable by the supervisor
Proven foundations
CRT brings to Trinidad and Tobago a supervisory technology blueprint proven in production with central banks and financial regulators across Europe, Africa and Asia — including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas prudential reporting programme that delivered a 29x efficiency improvement and won the Central Banking "Best Global Data Management Initiative 2019" award, and the Integral Financial Supervisory System deployed for insurance and capital-market supervisors across the Western Balkans.
Next steps
CRT and the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago will now proceed to contract negotiation. Once the contract is executed, delivery will follow CRT's established approach: agile, iterative implementation with continuous feedback from the supervisory teams, quality assurance across clearly defined testing phases, and structured knowledge transfer for long-term capacity building.
With the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, CRT now serves eleven public institutions across 21 jurisdictions on four continents.
