About CRT and CORA

CRT builds CORA, a supervisory technology platform used by central banks and financial regulators in more than 20 jurisdictions. It handles regulatory reporting, supervisory workflows, analytics, and AI-assisted processing.

The product is mature and runs in production. Our customers are expert, demanding, spread across time zones, and they notice when something breaks.

Delivery is about ten people. Engineers work directly with the founders, the technical leads, and clients. There is no middle management between you and the work.

The role

You will take ownership of parts of CORA: our core reporting applications, and the workflow and case management platform we are building out. You carry the work from requirements through to production.

Senior here is an individual contributor title, not a tech lead one. What we mean by it: technical judgement, accountability for what you ship, and the ability to run a client conversation in your area without a founder in the room.

You will also have real input into platform architecture, engineering standards, and where our workflow and AI capabilities go next.

What you will do

• Own delivery across one or more CORA modules: requirements, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, client sign-off.
• Maintain and extend the core applications that handle report definition, submission, validation, processing, monitoring, and analytics.
• Build out the workflow and case management platform. Orchestration, case handling, and the processes supervisors work in day to day.
• Run client conversations in your area. Clarify requirements, explain trade-offs, agree scope, and hand the larger product and commercial calls upward.
• Make architectural decisions inside your modules and bring the platform-wide ones to the team.
• Improve engineering discipline as you go: targeted tests, dependency upkeep, maintainable design, CI/CD that actually works.
• Contribute to our development lifecycle and Jira workflow.
• Mentor other engineers, mostly through review and example.
• If it interests you: production AI workflows for document and report processing, assisted validation, and supervisory automation.

What you bring

• 5+ years of C# and .NET, with substantial time in modern .NET and ASP.NET Core.
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL: schema design, migrations, data access decisions.
• Dapper, EF Core, or another data access approach you have run in production.
• CQRS-style patterns, mediator patterns, vertical-slice architecture, or another way of keeping a complex application organised.
• OIDC or OAuth2 flows, JWTs, and securing both browser and machine-to-machine APIs. Keycloak helps; we do not require it.
• Docker and a modern CI/CD system in production: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Comfort talking to clients.
• Croatian and English, written and spoken. We use both every day.
• A considered view on AI-assisted development tools, including where they do not help.

Nobody matches a list like this exactly. Apply if the first three are solid.

The codebase, honestly

CORA is a multi-module .NET platform: SQL Server, web frontends, identity integration, messaging, container-based delivery. Some modules are modern. Others carry older patterns we have to improve while they stay in production. Documentation is patchy in places and delivery priorities compete, so a fair amount of the job is deciding what to fix now and what to leave alone.

First 90 days

Understand your area, ship changes with less and less supervision, and take over the day-to-day technical and client decisions in that scope.

Working at CRT

• Remote anywhere in the EU, with occasional trips to Zagreb.
• Flexible hours. Zagreb time is when most of us overlap.
• Some client engagements need temporary overlap with client hours during delivery phases.
• Laptop and phone provided.
• Time off above the statutory minimum is negotiable.

How we hire

Three weeks from first call to offer is the target.

1. Screening call. Fit, scope, working arrangement.
2. Technical interview or a representative case: a real platform problem and a conversation about it. No LeetCode.
3. Psychological assessment. We explain the format and purpose before this stage.
4. Founder meeting, usually CEO and CTO.
5. Offer.
